Good morning, sir.

CO: hello, TÊN EM LÀ GÌ?

(I was so surprised because CO spoke Vietnamese, I nearly answered in Vietnamese)

- Me: My name is Vu Thi Anh Hong. I'm now 19 years old.

CO: good job, girl *CO nodded*. Passport please, and I20 as well

- Me: here you go, sir.

CO: What school do you study now?

- Me: I graduated from GĐ high school in 2015 with GPA was 8.6. From that time on, I have studied English, traveled around Vietnam and joined some charity. Moreover, I am an ambassador of Nam Phuong Foundation *After saying that, I shown my confirmation letter of ambassador of Nam Phuong to CO*

CO: Really? What is NP Found..? 

 (Maybe CO liked a person who joins charity organization because when I talked about this, CO paid attention to me)

- Me: NP Foundation is a company which is building a bridge for poor people in west of VN.

CO: what do your parents do?

- Me: My father has a transportation services company...my mother is a...my family totally incomes is 70 million per month.

CO: how many people are there in your company?

- Me: There are about 20 people including driver, secretary...and my father is an owner.

CO: where is your business license?

 (I was surprised and speechless for a few minutes because I did not have any document. Luckily, I had prepared vehicle rental contract and certificate of business and tax receipt so after talking, I shown them contract of vehicle lease)

- Me: My family's company work through Truong Son cooperative company. And here is my business license of TS.

CO: Give me your school-report. Hey girl, just school report. Other things is not necessary

 (I had prepared offer of Canada; when I was about giving it to them, they did not agree. CO pointed at my school report that made me nervous)

- Me: this is my high school report.

CO: (Looked at the first page; it was written that my father was a driver, CO looked at for a while and asked me in Vietnamese)

Is your father a driver? Why did you tell me that he has a company?

- Me: Nope, this is a mistake of my teacher. My father is an owner of transportation company, not a driver. You have seen that license before.

CO: (Continued to check school report carefully; check every page, especially GPA of grade 10-11-12)

“Study well, make progress each year. Your English is not bad, but why your IELTS score is so low” *CO just said, not asked me*

CO: So how many universities have you applied for in the US?

- Me: Only Austin Community college, sir. Because I don't want to divide my focus, I just want to focus only this school which is the best for me. 

(CO was silent and typed for a while. I intended to ask CO something because they did not request to check document of house and saving bank book)

- Me: Do you want to see my family’s finance? 

- CO: no, not necessary *continued typing with cool face*

CO: Why do you think you will have a visa this time?

STUDENT: Well Sir, the second time was my last time, so I was very nervous and I didn't believe that I could make the officer to believe me but please trust me, I really want to come America to study. 

(CO was serious so I was scared and tried to say something, CO was silent and typed)

- Me: My uncle is now living & working in Canada. He and my parents always support me come to Canada to study. He tells me "the education in Canada is one of the best in the world". He will help me about accommodation, tuition fee, pick me to school, etc. everything but my first choice is still America. 

 (CO stopped typing and looked at me to listen to me)

I have received a study offer from Fleming College at Canada. When i failed at the first time, my mother told me “Do not try too much. You can't pass”. But I still persuaded my mother to give me a second chance to come here.

CO: You have any relatives in the US?

- Me: No, I do not. I just have a friend at US.

CO: Do you have any brother or sister?

- Me: yah. I have a younger brother.

CO: Cất passport em lên kệ, mặt vẫn lạnh lắm, bảo là em có thể về được rồi, e tưởng phải đưa giấy hồng mới đậu, nên là đứng ngơ 1 lúc tưởng rớt rồi đợi họ đưa lại passport. Xong CO mới nói 

"Congratulations, girl ! Good job ! Chào mừng e đến với nước Mỹ "

Lúc này CO cười vs em quá trời nên mới biết. Trước khi tới lượt em thì bạn nam đứng trước e bị đánh rớt + đưa giấy trắng nên e cũng nghĩ lần này chắc không đậu nổi đâu. Mà khúc sau CO im lâu quá cái ko hiểu sao e nói quá trời luôn như ai nhập vậy. 

E đứng phỏng vấn vs CO lâu lắm, hơn 1 chục câu luôn đó chị, chắc cũng gần 15p nói chuyện. CO hỏi e tùm lum hết trơn toàn ngoài sự chuẩn bị, ko có hỏi mấy câu như Sao em chọn Texas ? Sao đi du học ở Mỹ mà ko phải nước khác ? 

Ngoài mấy câu e ghi ở trên là chính, thì họ còn hỏi thêm e mấy câu riêng về bản thân gia đình này nọ nữa.
